Specifications of Unistrut Pipe Hangers
Material :
- Unistrut fittings: Made from hot-rolled, pickled, and oiled steel plates conforming to ASTM specifications A575, A576, A635, or A36. Steel meets physical requirements of ASTM A1011 SS GR 33.
- Maple components: Cable saddles, clamps, and bus bar clamps are kiln-dried maple treated with paraffin to a depth of 1/16″ (1.6mm).
- Porcelain components: Cable clamps are made by the dry process and are white glazed.
- Fiberglass components: Cable saddles made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester.

Finishes :
- Electro-galvanized: Coating applied to provide corrosion resistance and durability.
Channel Raceways :
- Part of the Unistrut Metal Framing System, listed under UL classification 5B for strut-type channel raceways and fittings per Article 384 of NEC (NFPA 70).
- Minimum thickness of .071″ (1.81mm) for channels and .040″ (1.02mm) for closure strips.
- Eliminates welding, drilling, or complex fabrication, allowing faster, easier installation.
- Available in continuous lengths up to 20 feet and can be used for raceways, trapeze hangers, cable-tray supports, lighting grids, and more.
Channel Compatibility :
- Designed for use with 1-5/8″ wide channels.
- Not compatible with 1-1/4″ or 13/16″ framing systems.
