Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of the Unistrut channel?
What are the different types of Unistrut channels?
What is the standard size of Unistrut?
How do I connect my Unistrut together?
Turn the nut 90 degrees clockwise and align the grooves in the nut with the inturned edges of the channel. Place a fitting over the nut and insert the bolt through the fitting and into the nut. This will hold the nut and fitting in place.
What are strut fittings?
Strut and fittings are crafted into structures that are often used to support electrical conduit, cable trays, panel boxes, and other associated equipment using just a few tools. These structures also serve as a raceway for wiring and can provide support for lighting systems such as utility fixtures.
How do you fasten Unistrut?
The channel nut is placed inside the Unistrut channel. The threaded rod enters the channel and is screwed into the channel nut through the bottom open face of the channel but does not touch or go through the top of the channel. Everything is then secured with the flat plate fitting and hex nut below the channel.
