Unistrut Spring Nut Specification
Material:
- Manufactured from mild steel cold rolled coil.
- Case hardened after stamping and machining for a positive biting action into the inturned edge of the Unistrut channel.
Screws :
- Conform to SAE J429 GR 2 (exceeds ASTM A307).
Load Capacity :
- Proof Load: 55 KSI
- Tensile Load: 74 KSI
Finishes Available :
- Electro-Galvanized (EG) – ASTM B633 Type III SC1
- Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HG) – ASTM A153
- Plain (PL)
- Unistrut Defender™ (DF) – ASTM A1059
Perma Green Finish :
- A commercial-grade finish; scuffs and scratches are expected.
- If a flawless finish is needed, a matching touch-up paint is recommended.
Hardware Finish :
- Hex nuts, bolts, and washers are Electro-Galvanized (EG), ASTM B633 Type III SC1, unless otherwise noted.
Stainless Steel :

Unistrut Spring Nut Installation Process
- Select and Insert the Spring Nut: Choose the right spring nut for your channel and bolt size. Tilt and slide it into the channel slot.
- Lock the Nut: Push down on the spring and rotate it 90 degrees to lock it in place.
- Install and Tighten the Bolt: Align your item, insert the bolt, and tighten securely with a wrench.
