Deck Inserts Specification
Material:
- Cold-formed inserts are made from standard 12 gauge (2.7 mm) Unistrut channel sections conforming to ASTM A1011 SS GR 33 or ASTM A653 GR 33, unless otherwise noted.
Concrete Seepage :
- All inserts (except spot inserts) are provided with closure strips, end caps, or foam filler to inhibit concrete seepage, unless otherwise requested.
Stainless Steel Option :
- Most concrete inserts are available in stainless steel on special order. Consult factory for ordering information.
Application :
- Available for heavy-duty to light-duty “continuous” and “spot” concrete inserts used in pre-cast, pre-stressed, or poured-in-place concrete floors, walls, or ceilings.
Finishes :
- Hot dipped galvanized (HG), conforming to ASTM A123 or A153
- Pre-galvanized (PG), conforming to ASTM A653 GR 33
- Plain (PL)
Design Load :
- Design loads are based on 3,000 PSI concrete, unless noted.
Standard Lengths :
- Insert lengths range from 3 inches (76.2 mm) to 20 feet (6.10 m) with a tolerance of ±1⁄4-inch (6.4mm).
Threads :
- Manufactured to meet Unified Screw Thread Standard (ANSI B1.1, UNC class 2, coarse series).
Dimensions :
- Imperial dimensions are in inches, and metric dimensions are shown in parentheses (in mm). Custom-designed inserts are available on special order.
